Neuromodulators
Because wrinkled was not what we wanted to be when we grew up
At Vera Aesthetics & Wellness, we believe that your age is your business (but how young you look is ours!). Our collection of wrinkle-relaxing toxins can help deliver promising results, whether you're wanting to smooth out fine lines, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, or treat tension-related headaches.
Neurotoxin injections are derived from botulinum toxin type A, a neurotoxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. These injections are used in practice for both cosmetic and therapeutic purposes, by temporarily blocking nerve signals in the muscles, relaxing them in the specified treatment areas.
Common concerns treated by toxins
Wrinkle reduction/fine line smoothing
Tension headaches and migraines

Our Neuromodulator Portfolio
We currently offer BOTOX®, a safe and FDA-approved treatment for reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
BOTOX® is a jack-of-all-trades in the aesthetic world--it can be used for wrinkle-smoothing and relaxing, excessive sweating, migraine and headache treatment jawline contouring, brow lifts, and neckband smoothing.

We commonly use BOTOX® to treat wrinkles in the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes (AKA crow's feet).

The effects of BOTOX® injections typically last between three to six months. Regular treatments are required to maintain the results and we always recommend pre-booking your next treatment.
Got Questions?
-
What are injectable toxins?
-
Neuromodulators, also known as neurotoxins, are injectables commonly referred to by the trade name BOTOX®. These wrinkle-relaxers are derived from botulinum toxin type A, which, when injected into the muscle, blocks nerve signals and relaxes the muscle, preventing skin wrinkling.
-
-
How do toxins work?
-
Neurotoxin is injected into the muscle of the area requiring treatment, which ultimately relaxes the muscle and smooths areas of fine lines and wrinkles.
-
-
Will I require any downtime?
-
Nope! Neuromodulator injections can be done on your lunch break, and are typically undetectable except for occasional mild bruising at the injection site(s).
-
-
What are common treatment locations?
-
Areas that are commonly treated with neurotoxins include the forehead, eyebrows (both the tail-end and in-between), crows feet, and occasionally the masseter (jaw muscle).
-
-
How many treatments will I need?
-
Toxin results typically last 3-4 months and will require repeat treatments to continue the effects.
-
-
When will results be visible?
- It can take up to 14 days for the final results to show. For first-timers or new areas of treatment, we recommend a 2 week follow-up to determine need for additional toxin dosing.
