  • What are fillers?

    • Filler uses hyaluronic acid (HA) to replace or add volume to areas that have lost volume due to aging. It can be used to lift or replace volume, improve creases or folds in the skin, add subtle volume to lips, hydrate the lips, soften the vertical lines around the mouth, or restore volume loss in cheeks and other areas of the face.

  • What are the most popular filler sites?
    • The most popular sites for fillers are typically areas with volume loss, deep creases and wrinkles. These areas commonly include the nasolabial folds and marionette lines. We also use filler to enhance our lips.
    • **Vera does not offer HA filler injections in the tear troughs due to risk of vision loss**
  • Will I require any downtime?
    • You won't be required to rest, though we typically recommend that you plan to get fillers on days that you don't have upcoming important events or plans due to likely probability of swelling and bruising. While we do our best to avoid these side effects, they are very common and you should expect to experience them rather than not.
  • When will results be visible?
    • You will see the results of your filler around two weeks after injection. THis is when you should plan for your follow-up. Due to swelling and bruising, you may not be immediately happy with your results and may find initial asymmetry and imperfections.  If these do not improve or resolve by the two-week period, we can always touch up!
  • How long do results last?
    • Filler tends to last between 6 and 12 months, however this varies from person to person.
